Software Support Specialist

 The Software Support Specialist is responsible for front-end support of company software applications, such as workflow and robotics tools.

This requires the Specialist to work closely with the user community to resolve usability issues, analyze unexpected system behavior, and administer user roles, access and skilling.

In addition, the Specialist supports configuration functions, including gathering requirements, configuring “Just In Time” updates, and facilitating business testing.

Required

3+ years’ experience in a customer-focused role. Must be proficient in Word and Excel. Must have high level of adaptability to software systems. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Demonstrates flexibility to shift priorities as business needs dictate. Exercises patience, attentiveness, and resilience when working with users. Excellent prioritization skills, attention to detail and time management. Demonstrates willingness to learn and improve. Actively takes the lead on tasks, assumes responsibility and demonstrates initiative. Possesses strong critical thinking decision making skills. Ability to communicate technical information to users with various levels of understanding in an articulate and professional manner (written and verbal). Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to solve problems calmly, effectively and quickly. Ability to probe tactfully to understand underlying needs. High School diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred

Experience setting up and/or administering within a software system, such as a POS software, workflow software, or customer management software. Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting software issues. Knowledge of dimensional and/or relational databases a plus. Knowledge of reporting and reporting systems. Experience in insurance or benefit administration operations a plus.
